Intern With Us

GRC seeks summer and term-time legal interns who have strong research and writing skills and are committed to indigent defense. Internships are unpaid, and summer internships are between ten and twelve weeks. Interns assist in all aspects of GRC's work, including conducting legal research, drafting memos and briefs, visiting clients, interviewing witnesses, and compiling life histories. Applications should be submitted by email to or by mail to Georgia Resource Center, Attn: Internships Coordinator, 303 Elizabeth Street NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30307. All applications should include a resume, writing sample, a list of references, and a cover letter describing why you are interested in working at GRC. Summer legal interns will be hired on a rolling basis beginning in September.

GRC also offers unpaid externships to M.S.W candidates for course credit. Social work externships offer the opportunity to work directly with senior staff on substantive issues. Interested parties may apply year-round by submitting a current resume, writing sample if available, and a cover letter identifying reasons why you are interested in the capital defense field. Application materials may be submitted as described above.
